About Us

Inclusion Seekers is a concept developed by Starfire, a non-profit organization based in Cincinnati founded in 1993. Starfire’s mission is to decrease the social isolation felt by people with developmental disabilities and to build better lives for them. They do this by increasing social connectivity through meaningful relationships and by working to remove barriers to opportunities in the community where people can be known for their gifts, not their disability.

Starfire’s Inclusion Seekers program is the result of collaborative innovation with people with disabilities, their families, neighbors, and service providers.

Funding for Starfire and Inclusion Seekers is a result of grants, donations and gifts from individuals, foundations, and entities including the Ohio Department of Developmental Disabilities.
