Impact Across Communities

Founded in Greater Cincinnati in 1993, Inclusion Seekers, powered by Starfire, works to help people with developmental disabilities build meaningful relationships and stronger community connections. Through partnerships, mentorship, and community projects, we support people in becoming more connected, involved, and known for who they are.

What began in Cincinnati continues to grow. In 2025, we launched 120 community projects, engaged more than 3,000 learners, and invested over $170,000 into families and community-led efforts across six states.

Today, our work extends far beyond the region. Through our learning experiences and community partnerships, Inclusion Seekers collaborates with organizations and local leaders across the U.S. and internationally, including in Australia, the Balkans, the Caucasus, Central Asia, and Sub-Saharan Africa.

Across these communities, the focus remains consistent: strengthening relationships, reducing social isolation, and helping more people participate fully in community life.

What We Do

Inclusion Seekers, powered by Starfire, partners with communities around the world to build connection, belonging, and inclusion in ways that are locally led and culturally grounded.

We support NGO partners, families, and community leaders through:

Training and coaching that build skills and confidence
Financial investment that supports real community connection
Community projects that create meaningful roles and relationships
Learning experiences that expand what is possible for inclusion

Through Community Connections and Learning & Partnerships, partners adapt this work to fit their own context. We are taking our model there. We are asking NGOs to build inclusion and connections, centered on one person with a disability at a time, promoting genuine inclusion and connection for children and adults with disabilities in community life. Each community shapes what this looks like in practice. The different contexts allow us to see patterns that are often invisible within a single system.

Together, this approach builds relationships, shifts how communities and organizations support inclusion, and expands a globally relevant model for belonging.

We do not bring a one-size-fits-all program. We bring a relationship-centered approach and walk alongside communities as they make it their own. Our work is rooted in:
